Indie game Octodad: Dadliest Catch will launch on the PlayStation 4 in April, developer Young Horses confirmed via Twitter. When a fan asked the released date of Octodad, the game’s official Twitter account replied: “Early April is what it’s looking like.”
For the uninitiated, Dadliest Catch is the sequel to 2010 freeware game Octodad. In Octodad: Dadliest Catch, players are put in the shoes of Octodad as he completes everyday tasks, but since the protagonist is an octopus dressed as a human, the most mundane tasks prove to be overly complex. Apart from the single-player campaing, the game also features a cooperative mode where up to four players control four limbs.
As of this writing, Octodad came out for Linux, Mac, PC and now we know that the PlayStation 4 version is coming out in April. I recently received a copy of the PC version of Octodad: Dadliest Catch and I’ll start working on a review soon.
