Cardboard Computer’s Kentucky Route Zero Act III is now available, the developer has announced. If you own the game on Steam, your copy should update automatically to the latest version. On the other hand, if you own the game on the Humble Store, you need to go to your download page to get the new version.
For the uninitiated, Kentucky Route Zero is an unconventional point-and-click adventure about a secret highway hidden inside a cave beneath Kentucky. I reviewed both acts of the “magical realist adventure” and really enjoyed them. I called Act I a game that “makes absolutely no sense, but that shouldn’t prevent you from experiencing this poetic adventure” and Act II “as gripping and stylish as the first entry in series.”
By the time this series is finished, there will be five acts and according to the developer, upcoming episodes will be released “throughout the next year or so.”
By the way, as a way of celebrating the release of Act III, Kentucky Route Zero – Season Pass is 25% off its usual price (or $18.74.) Take into account that this special promotion ends on May 13th.
