Beloved platformer Tearaway is coming to the PlayStation 4 as Tearaway Unfolded, Sony announced during Gamescom 2014.
Since a straight port would be impossible, the developer is making some fundamental changes to the formula to make Tearaway playable on the home console, including DualShock 4 support, an expanded adventure and 1080p and 60 fps support. New mechanics include gusts of wind which are useful to unfold bridges of push enemies off ledges, the controller’s light can be used to light up dark places and your companion has the ability to throw items from the screen to your controller.
Originally developed by Media Molecule (Little Big Planet,) Tearaway came out on the PlayStation Vita in November 2013 and the game was praised for its unconventional art style, great use of the Vita’s controls and simple story.
